The Academy was organized for educational purposes, to further interest in art through programs, demonstration of art technique and workshops, and to serve as a means for public exhibition of art. All administrative duties are performed by the members on a volunteer basis.
The Coppini contributes a scholarship award each year to a deserving art student towards the students college art fund.

Fredericksburg Artists' School is located on four picturesque acres situated at the historic Rocky Hill School complex of buildings in Fredricksburg, Texas. The school sits on the north edge of the property and has full north light exposure on an entire side of the building making it an ideal painting studio, with beautiful vistas to the north looking at the hills of central Texas.
Fredericksburg Artists' School is committed to providing a quality teaching experience by having nationally, and in some cases internationally, known professional artists teach.

Fiber Artspace is a fiber art studio and gallery in the home of Laurie Brainerd and Chuck Wigginton located in San Antonio's home for contemporary art - Blue Star Arts Complex.
The gallery is open First Friday weekends, by appointment, and whenever the sign is displayed on the balcony overlooking the parking lot.
Every First Friday weekend, the living room and studio furniture is tucked into the bedroom and the space is transformed into an open gallery. Art is still completely viewable when the furniture returns, as it occupies the center part of the room.

Leonardo was founded in 1968 in Paris by kinetic artist and astronautical pioneer Frank Malina. Malina saw the need for a journal that would serve as an international channel of communication between artists, with emphasis on the writings of artists who use science and developing technologies in their work. Today, Leonardo is the leading journal for readers interested in the application of contemporary science and technology to the arts.

The Itinerant Artist Project is a painting-based project with strong public outreach and performance dimensions. It involves locating (by various means) a series of voluntary "hosts" around the USA, touring by car from host to host, and at each stop painting several small location paintings, offering one in exchange for the hospitality provided (room, board and occasional conversation for 2-5 days).

The Itinerant Artist Project can't go anywhere without hosts - people interested in welcoming a traveling painter into their homes for a few days. At each stop, I do a number of paintings and offer one to my host in appreciation for the hospitality.

With ARTIS Study Abroad, you can teach and study abroad on the ARTIS teaching abroad, cultural study and summer study abroad programs. Our International studies include educational travel to cities like Florence, Italy: Athens, Greece and Bali. International travel, student travel and single travel all in one program.

CaFÉTM is a Web-based service that allows organizations and administrators to easily and cost-effectively manage artist-application and jury processes related to calls for entry. The service is especially designed for use with public art projects, artist fellowships, and juried visual-arts competitions.

Because slide projectors are being phased out, many organizations are choosing to jury artists' work via high-resolution digital images instead of slides. CaFÉTM provides artists with an easy-to-use system to enter contact information, upload digital images of their artwork, and enter a number of open calls at one time, eliminating the cost of duplicating slides and mailing individual packets. Organizations using CaFÉTM benefit by saving considerable time and money with the elimination of data-entry costs. In addition, they experience savings in the areas of communication and jury costs, while gaining an amazingly efficient and high-quality digital-jury process.

WESTAF, the Western States Arts Federation, is a nonprofit arts service organization dedicated to the creative advancement and preservation of the arts. WESTAF fulfills its mission to strengthen the financial, organizational and policy infrastructure of the arts in the West by providing innovative programs and services. WESTAF serves the largest geographical area and number of states of the six mainland regional arts organizations, including the state arts agencies, artists, and arts organizations of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

WESTAF currently is engaged in arts policy research, information-systems development, state arts agency development, and convening arts experts and leaders to address critical issues in the arts. In addition, the organization continues its commitment to programs in presenting, literature, visual arts and the folk arts. WESTAF also is engaged in an array of Internet-related projects designed to benefit the future well being of the arts community of the West.

As a progressive and evolving organization, WESTAF initiates new programs and projects regularly.

Governance
WESTAF is governed by a 22-member board of trustees drawn largely from arts leaders in the West. The state arts agencies of WESTAF's 13 member states are the principle beneficiaries of WESTAF's work and each state is represented on the board.
